Teeth Whitening

Our teeth whitening service allows us to whiten your teeth as many as 6 shades in just one visit.

Professional teeth whitening services have become some of the most popular dental treatments throughout the country, according to the American Dental Association - and nothing seems to improve a smile as quickly and easily as a set of whiter teeth.

In fact, a single whitening session can brighten your smile by as many as 5 to 6 shades. These can be done as at-home treatments or as professional services at our Antrim or Keene dentist offices.

This is not to be confused with over-the-counter toothpaste or strips. Professional whitening treatments use much stronger agents to deliver faster and stronger results.

"If You're Not Whitening, You're Yellowing"

Why Do Your Teeth Need to be Whitened?

The obvious answer is that you want a better, cleaner-looking smile. But why do teeth need to be whitened? Why aren’t they white anymore?

The truth is that teeth darken naturally with age. Combine that with staining caused by common beverages like coffee, tea, red wine, and soda, and you can see why sooner or later your teeth might start to look kind of shabby.

In-Office Professional Teeth Whitening

We offer professional quality teeth whitening services at all of our locations in Antrim, Keene and now Peterborough, NH.

For this treatment, we apply a professional strength whitening gel to the surface of your teeth. You’ll see the results almost immediately. The whole process will take no more than 90 minutes.

And you’ll be sure to leave our office that same day with a much brighter, much whiter, smile.

What Are My Other Teeth Whitening Options?

Tray Whitening

This kind of whitening involves professional strength gel only available through your dentist. The gel is placed in custom-built moldings that fit over your teeth. The advantage is that this whitens all the surfaces of your teeth, unlike strips which only whiten the front. But as opposed to the in-office treatment, these agents are still much weaker and can take 10 to 14 days before you start seeing results.

Teeth Whitening Strips

These are thin plastic strips with a layer of hydrogen peroxide on one side. You apply the strips directly to the outer surface of your upper and lower teeth. These strips are typically worn about 30 minutes per day, twice a day, and the bleaching from the peroxide will whiten your teeth over time.

Paint-On Teeth Whiteners

These are available over-the-counter and are both less expensive and less effective than whitening strips. They come in the form of a gel, which you paint onto your teeth with a brush. This gel hardens into a thin, white coating over your teeth. The coating will dissolve over time in your mouth, at which point you can paint on a new layer. This solution will whiten your smile while the coating is in place, but doesn't have any lasting effect on your teeth once the gel has dissolved.

Toothpaste and Mouthwashes

These advertise dramatic results but do not brighten the actual shade of your teeth. What they do is work against surface stains with mild abrasives. This can mildly whiten your teeth if the stains are not too ingrained.
