These are thin plastic strips with a layer of hydrogen peroxide on one side. You apply the strips directly to the outer surface of your upper and lower teeth. These strips are typically worn about 30 minutes per day, twice a day, and the bleaching from the peroxide will whiten your teeth over time.

These are available over-the-counter and are both less expensive and less effective than whitening strips. They come in the form of a gel, which you paint onto your teeth with a brush.
